Dyson Airwrap for Travel — Voltage, Plug Adapters, Cabin Carry-On
The Dyson Airwrap motor accepts 100-240V universal voltage — it works anywhere in the world with the right plug adapter. Here's how to travel with the Airwrap, including TSA/cabin rules, the right plug adapter for each region, and which model is most travel-friendly.

Voltage: the Airwrap V9 motor is dual-voltage 100-240V automatically. You don't need a converter — only a plug adapter for the new region's outlet shape (US Type A, EU Type C/E/F, UK Type G, AU Type I, JP Type A).
Cabin carry-on: the Airwrap is permitted in carry-on luggage on all major airlines (TSA, EASA, CAA confirmed). It's classified as a personal grooming device, not a hairdryer (which can be restricted on some long-haul flights). Pack it in its travel case for protection.
Most travel-friendly model: the Airwrap Origin. Its smaller attachment kit (just the 30 mm + 40 mm Coanda barrels and soft smoothing brush) fits in the included travel pouch and weighs ~30% less than the Complete Long. The Complete Long is feature-packed but bulky for travel — leave the diffuser, comb, and firm brush at home for short trips.
We can include a regional plug adapter free with any order — let us know your destination(s) at checkout. Our team confirms the right firmware version for the destination region before shipping so the unit works without any user setup on arrival.
